Hi, my name is Laurie Akermark. I am a singer/songwriter/ guitarist, who lives in Minneapolis, MN. I play with a group/band, that includes a Bass, Lead, Violin and Harmony vocals. The thing I enjoy most is writing and singing songs. I don't know what's wrong with me, I've just been this way since I was little. :) Maybe one of my older brothers dropped me on my head? In any case, a friend of mine sent me your RPM Challenge Info. and I thought.... well, "February sucks anyway, especially in Minnesota." So, why not? Actually, once I decided to participate in your Challenge, which was yesterday, I immediately started writing. I love writing songs and realize that I'll have to be happy with "whatever" comes out of me. I guess, you could say, "Another step towards self-acceptance".
