About

Description: I've been here and I've been there. Been about everywhere. It all comes back home here. Back to my roots. I heard about this here RPM thang and I decided, heck, if Matt and Stu and Chris can find time to do this, well, I can too! I play a little of everything and that's reflected in the music I do. It's sort of moody with a bunch of computer type stuff and a bunch of acoustic instruments and singing and stuff, but my RPM work this time around is built around my brother Bill and my sister Mary reminiscing about our dad and mom. They did this hourlong interview for the NPR Story Corp program and though I don't think it got on the air, I thought it was pretty interesting, and the timing of their voices sort of seemed soothing and would do well with some backing. Since I don't have much time to record a song a day, it's going to be one long 35 minute song. I think it'll work, and it may even be interesting to other people too.
Group Members: Jim Bouchard, Mary and Bill Bouchard

Band Bio: Our family has always been fairly musical, since everyone in the family plays an instrument and has played in various musical incarnations. Our older brothers, Albert and Joe, were in the Blue Oyster Cult, for instance. So when my brother Bill and sister Mary sent me their recording for the NPR Story Corps project, I thought it would be great to incorporate that into a musical piece. I did a short one, and then thought it would be great to get it all in one piece. The only problem is that the whole recording was 55 minutes long. Along came RPM where I had to do a 35 minute album so I decided to use the narration that my brother and sister did and improvise music around that. I did use the whole narration by cutting it in half and overlapping the two parts.
