Well, I have a varied sound. But I suppose a lot of it is Dance or Trance. But it depends - on my mood and sometimes songs go their own way. This is me trying to get out of my writers block. It was suggested to me on the Big Blue Lounge forum, where I was looking for inspiration to get me out of my uninspired mood. I posted over several forums looking for ideas from other musicians of how they dealt with it, and received a lot of good ideas. This was one of them, -to do this challenge, from someone who did it last year. I like the idea of doing it just for the hell of it.I've only had my studio for just under 2 years. Three years ago I had a bad week - I was hit by a bus and mugged - in the same week. After that I've not been able to do regular work. So I rediscovered my music which I had moved away from over the years. Over the past 2 years I studied for and received my diploma in music tech and sound engineering and also studied a songwriting course at a music college. But since finishing the courses i've become more and more uninspired and demotivated.In the past I wrote 12 songs in just under 2 years, but as i said in the last few months i ran out of inspiration. Lets see. Maybe doing this challenge will get me out of my rut.So, as of now, lets see if I can come up with 10 songs, Im already 8 days down so id better try to get writing...... |
