We've been fooling around for a few years now writing and playing in our off time. I've worked as a sound engineer, Gabrielle has played on our worship team at church for several years. We decided this might be a good excuse to get some of our stuff down on a CD. It probably won't be as good at it would if we had unlimited time, money, and a studio, but I'm hoping for something passable. We've already got most of one track down after working all day yesterday. It's really going to be a challenge to get all of it in by the end of the month. The musical style I'd call alternative, but I don't really like labels much. It's whatever it sounds like to you. The lyrics deal primarily with my walk as a Christian. Things I've struggled with, observations, and things I've come to understand. I've got a Lexicon Core 2 with Cool Edit 1.2 (yeah - it's old school), a 24 channel Behrenger mixer that I'm running it through, and mostly cut rate instruments. In other words it ain't gonna be abby road. |
