It's over and I lose!  I didn't finish the album.  I didn't finish much more than is downloadable here now.  I got a decent stack of excuses, but that's not what you came here to read. 

I had an identity crisis of sorts.  I was using my usual 'suite' of electronica-tools, but I was really depressed about the lack or originality in what was coming out.  I could've banged something out easily.  I'm known to be prolific.  But my secret desire was to do something completely new.  With roughly 15 days remaining, I decided to scrap everything I had, and make a rule of not using any of the tools I used for albums previously.

This meant hauling out my real guitar and bass, and new software to fake keys and drums.  I didn't take long to get the swing of the new tools, but I feel like I have a higher demand for quality and originality from myself.  I don't even feel that these tracks really show what I wanted.  

Maybe next year.
