One Inch From Midget is a lo-fi, DIY, folk punk operation dedicated by having as much fun with as little effort possible. Quirky vocals, simple lyrics and guitar playing that ranges from sloppy pounding to feisty fingerpicking are vital elements in this band's sound. For the RPM Challenge, One Inch frontman Fence Flatley plans to construct 10 songs based on the six bardo states found in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Bardos are typically described as transitional periods both in life and death in which the line between imagination and reality are considerably blurred. Fence will use folk punk to attack and describe various elements of the bardo state. |
