Description:

I spent the month of February recording an album I call "Pastime." The songs are a concept album in the form of a song cycle tracing the history of American Baseball. The folk and Americana roots sound of the album is meant to conjure both the mood of each song and the national identity with the game.

While there are still things to be rerecorded or remixed - I sent what I did this month, and as far as I can tell, that's the point.

Band Bio: Ross Durand is a Southern California native singer-songwriter in the post-Dylan tradition. Raised on classical music and The Beatles, Ross turned his songwriting attention to the simplicity of folk-music in his college years while continuing to pursue more complex musical ideas through composition. Ross has also written songs for independent film and was an award winner in the 2004 Unisong songwriting contest.
