I will re-record some old songs, and write/record some new ones. I've written Rockabilly, Punk, Rock, Jazz, Urban Folk (so-described by a songwriting professor at York U.), and Funk (or at least Rock with a funky groove). I want to write Christian songs as well. The stories in my songs are strong. Story first - song second. This challenge could not have come at a better time. This project feeds several needs/desires:
- to help develop my daughter as a singer (as this is her present wish),
- to have new songs (and recordings) to send publishers to get them performed by other artists,
- to record my own album, and
- to develop my skills as a recording engineer and apply those skills to recording students from our music lessons business.
