I am the primary song-writer for H Is for Hellgate based out of Seattle, Washington. For the band, I write indie-prog type songs that my Grandma finds too aggressive to enjoy. For the last couple of years she's has been requesting that I write some "soothing music" for her, but I've constantly been occupied with penning indie-rock for my band. Last year she lost her youngest son, my dad, in a motorcycle accident while H Is for Hellgate was on tour.
My grandma's 90th birthday is this February, so I'm going to use the RPM challenge to write "soothing music" dedicated to her and the memory of the loved one we both lost. |
