Flipping The Pig

About

Description: My recording room is an unmanageable mess. My life will be upturned over the next few months. There's been a hell of a lot that needs and has needed to be dealt with. It's the perfect time to commit myself to recording a new album. Time to pick up a guitar, plug in the keyboard, shove piles of crap out of the way, and hope for the best. Cheers!

2008 RPM Album Info
Date mailed or hand-delivered: 02/29/2008
Date Received: 03/04/2008
Genre: Rock
Album Name: My Heroic Cadences
Album Description: An odd little collection from an odd little misfit. Brooding introspection, wry humor, sadness, hope, and general weirdness. Lyrically dense. Vocally layered. Pulling stylistically from a variety of musical influences (classic 60s, 70s, & 80s pop, jazz, prog rock, rock rock, electronic, folk, standards, experimental, show tunes) with a concise sense of melody. This is the first of Flipping The Pig's albums to contain no electric guitars and no bass guitar (mostly because they weren't plugged in).
Tracks (w/numbers): 1. The Ripple (2:29)
2. The Conversationalist (3:37)
3. Periphery (1:41)
4. Let A Moment Pass (3:10)
5. The Creeper (0:58)
6. You Don't Believe I Love You (3:51)
7. Preset (4:24)
8. Some Days Cloudy (3:04)
9. Reprise (1:44)
10. Into The Great Damn I Don't Know (2:35)
Preferred Track: You Don't Believe I Love You
Band Bio: The culmination of several decades spent having listened to a wide variety of music as filtered through a chunky middle-aged imp in his sweatpants.
Band Members & Instruments Played: Jeff Mansk: Drums, Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
Band Location (city, state or province, and country): Detroit, MI, USA
