Vostok Lake is a one-woman electronic melodrama act. Instead of our customary grand guignol productions, the Auxilliary Choir is an attempt to create a new repertoire of minimalist, lyric-intensive numbers suitable for cabaret/comedy performance.

VOSTOK LAKE is a New Zealand based exponent of "portable techno-folk for the 21st century". VOSTOK LAKE is a culturally revolutionary outfit aiming to supersede and replace guitar-based rock music altogether. VOSTOK LAKE's musical style is a careful balance of 80's-style beats, prog-rock inspired keyboard pyrotechnics and carefully crafted lyrical hand-grenades. Some songs deal with contemporary politics.
