My resources are somewhat limited, but I've got a keyboard and GarageBand and a USB mic. Last year I made an album about life on a Forward Operating Base in Iraq. This year I think I might do an album in two halves -- the first half about falling in love and the second half about masculine identity and violence. As for what kind of music it is -- it's a completely mixed bag, folk and rock and jazz and hip-hop and whatever else appeals to me. Last year's album was all about the playing and singing; I wanted to prove I could do everything myself. But I think this year's might be more about creating beats and using samples. |

Just me, mostly. But like I said, this year I plan to use samples and cut it like dance music (even though most of it won't actually BE dance music). And I'd like to try to get some guest players, so we'll see how that goes! |
