A mixture of organic rock and electronic sounds, melodic and dynamic.

I play in the band After School Special with fellow RPM-er Dave VanderWall. We did the challenge as a group last year. We're still a band, but this year's RPM is a solo project.

Tech notes:

My studio consists of a Mac Pro & Digidesign 002R running Pro Tools 7.x and Reason 4, with a pair of Mackie HR824's for monitors.

Primary guitars: a '72 Les Paul Custom and a late 80's Ibanez RG series guitar, with a POD 2.0 going direct.

My synths, pianos and most drums come from Reason. I also use the Discrete Drums Series One drum library. In addition, I have a second PowerMac G4 with a Korg OASYS PCI card, which i use for synth/piano sounds, and reverbs and delays.

(And I still have a Fostex E-16 1/2" 16-track ATR that I use to warm things up, but i didn't end up using it on this project)

Band Bio:	Joel Allard is a musician and audio engineer in the Twin Cities, MN. He has played in rock bands since the late 80's including metal, alternative, electronic/industrial, and currently an 80's pop cover band. This album represents some of Joel's songwriting over the last few years, and he considers it a work in progress toward a more formal album release.
