Tom Martin on the Bass

About

Description:

As a freelance bassist I have gained the ability to navigate a varity of styles. I am rhythmic in nature and enjoy the synergy of an ensemble. I love the attitude of rock, the boogie of roll, the rhythms of R&B and the improvisational explorations of "jazz."

This year I will be working on two projects. One is with my full time band Rhythm Method. An original R&B band with 2 guitars, male and female vocals, bass and drums. The other will be with drummer Chris Thurston. I figure this will be a largely organic process of bass and drums, exploring rhythms, melodies and arrangements. Building from the ground up, structures that may stand alone or invite accompinament.

And, again as a freelance bassist, I'm open to other opportunities...
