From 1986 to 2003 I was part of The Lavone, a band consisting of anywhere from 2 to 5 people anchored by myself and my now deceased brother Rhett. We recorded 17 albums in 17 years. Not bad, actually. I was also a member of Purple Triangles, The Frog, Kicking Mule and various other shorter lived bands. For last years RPM Challenge I formed my current band Trumpet Marine but we're not doing RPM this year because we're busy with working on a bigger more elaborate album project scheduled for release sometime in the fall called "The Universal Thump". In addition to all these band memberships over the years, I've worked with a whole bunch of really talented and amazing people like my own siblings (besides my 17 year partnership with Rhett, I've also recorded with my younger brother Reed and sister Robbie who are both members of the amazing band The Akai), the lovely and talented Cindy Ivy (formerly of the band Kloey and currently working on her debut solo album), Derek Helland (frontman for The Teeth, also working on their debut album) and quite a few other artists. Oh yeah, and I've put out a few solo albums as Ryan Sutter too. :-)

Last year's RPM was a blast. I can barely wait for this year!
