About

Description: I started out as a studio project (for about the last 14 years), but I'm now working as a live techno / psychadelic sound system. I found out about the RPM Challenge after having written a live set last week to play in a club on Saturday 17th February. My submission will be the entire set, which I recorded on the night - mistakes and all! I'm looking for more gigs in the UK and further afield - especially festivals and free parties!
Group Members: Just me: Dave Silvester.

2007 RPM Album Info

Date mailed or hand-delivered: 02/27/2007
Date received: 03/05/2007
Genre: Electronic - Beat Driven
Album Name: Killing Time Like There's No Tomorrow
Album Description: A live techno(-ish) set I wrote to play in a club here in Nottingham on 17th Feb 2007.
Tracks (w/ numbers): One big long live track, as unfortunately it proved too time consuming to separate the tracks, since it's essentially just one big piece of music anyway (though it does have "sections" of a sort).
Preferred track for listening party: There's only one track, but what you could do is take my track from the Ampfea.org submission, which is also from this live set.
Band Bio: Aside from writing electronic music, I also play bass in a reggae/dub/ska band (www.moonbuggy.info - loads of gigs coming up this summer all over the UK).

I've been making music since I was 5 years old... though only discovered the joys of sampling and so on in my teens, when I used to hang out after school playing with MOD files and the like.

I have some other tracks online at www.mu-sly.co.uk but recently I've been concentrating on the idea of doing live sets using a stripped down setup. It's been great so far, and I'm looking forward to doing a lot more in the near future!
Group Members & Instruments Played: Just me: Dave Silvester, programming and playing three Korg Electribes: ES-1, ER-1 and EA-1. The ES-1 drives most of the live set.
Band Location (city, state or province, & country): Nottingham, UK. (Robin Hood town!)
