So the way this has turned out is as a rock concept album (though the concept formed as we lived it).
"Notes From The Underground" is about facing life and facing death, as portrayed through the eyes of our name-dropping, fame-ridden rock god personas Keith Richard and James Brillig. It starts with a more positive, even humorous outlook on dealing with "loss" and then takes a darker, spiraling decline through despair and hatred, as it questions if we can make it. James & The Giant Keith borrow and synthesize from a number of various styles, including glam rock, folk, broadway, country, classical, prog rock, and metal.
James Brillig (Jason Bronstein) and Keith Richard (Keith Weiner) also are members of the hard rock outfit 'Twas Brillig & the Slithy Toves, frontman and lead guitarist, respectively.
