About

Description:

This has been an exhausting month with a freelance project for my book publisher Mel Bay, numerous things personally and to throw recording a record in the mix, well why not. Actually the maddness was to throw two records at one point, in addition to my own work, a duo of mine Chinapainting was thinking of putting a project out in that we did last year. We decided though to just concentrate on our RPM solo projects this time so with any luck my collection of solo fretless guitar pieces will squeak through the RPM New Hampshire office by the witching hour.

This collection yet untitled at this writing will be an audio document of 9 to 10 (though atleast 35 min) solo acoustic unplugged uneffx'd fretless guitar improvisations in the spirit of the My Space fretless acoustic community Unplugged Unfretted.

Band Bio: New York based composer/guitarist Jim Goodin produces acoustic guitar instrumental music of much color and texture and emotion. Set on his journey some 25 years ago when Goodin heard Michael Hedges, he [Goodin] never looked back as he began honing his craft and voice. Over the years he has carved a sound that one critic said, "He [Jim Goodin] is playing out of so many sources he sounds exactly like himself!". Goodin is a Mel Bay author and is becoming somewhat known for his new work in fretless guitar.
