Robin Vining can usually be found in Phoenix, AZ fronting the band Sweetbleeders (voice, guitar, keyboards) and as a collaborator in Colorstore as well as playing accordion and melodica in Fatigo. Having just released new albums with both Sweetbleeders and Colorstore, I have been planning to record a solo record this year ....so now I have an opportunity to sweep some of my previous work under the rug for a month to just start from scratch. Alright. Here goes. I have no idea yet what shape it's going to take or even what genre it might be. I don't know who else will be joining me, if anyone. It could take the shape of barroom smokey jazz, mellow acoustic americana, seasick carnival ride, electro-dance, or all of the above.

RPM demos, works-in-progress, or tracks-finished-early... a musical sketchbook. This is just a sampler -- complete and finished albums will be uploaded into the real jukebox in March!
A Space-Age Americana tribute to a former dog. This album was written and recorded in sudden bursts of enthusiasm - steps were taken to prevent "cleaning up" or "overworking" tracks and performances (which is, to say that it just wasn't done). Even though everything was tracked individually, I wanted most of this to sound like a live performance of a somewhat ragged band.
Tracks (w/ numbers):
1. Caution Horse
2. Freighthauler
3. Stupid Face
4. Buboom
5. Everyone's a Loser
6. Mouthful of Dirt
7. Harina de Hueso
8. St Augustine
9. The Nightcap Serenade
Preferred track for listening party:
3. Stupid Face
