About

Description:

We're odd.

We're broad.

We don't fit within any genres - or at least we try not to fit within any genres.

And we try not to sound the same from one thing to the next. Pretty things, soft things, loud things, odd things. Just know that whatever we decide to do - it'll be different.

That's probably the best way to describe ourselves.

And now we're back - for round 2. (Actually, Round 3, but we weren't here during the first year.)

Group Members:

Kirk. Wendy. Does it make a noise? Good. We want to play it.

2007 RPM Album Info

Date mailed or hand-delivered: 03/01/2007
Date received: 03/14/2007
Genre: Unclassifiable
Album Name: Woof
Album Description: woof represents a challenge within a challenge - not only did we want to complete an album in 28 days, but we made a conscious decision to create ten individual cuts, each of which had to be as stylistically different from each other as possible. we wanted to stretch ourselves toward whatever direction the music presented itself... loud stuff, soft stuff, pretty stuff, odd stuff... lots o' stuff.

no two songs alike. don't like one track? try the next. it's an oddly pleasing little disc, if we do say so ourselves...

we're pretty darned happy with the results.

heck - we think you might be happy, too.
Tracks (w/ numbers): 1. doomsday is coming (4:17)
2. wish (2:22)
3. your brain on drugs (2:33)
4. little fishies, where are you? (1:13)
5. sleep, the abyss (2:58)
6. fight to live (2:15)
7. baiji (4:26)
8. the sea has spoken (2:24)
9. unsure these days (2:29)
10. for all the fallen horses (3:01)

Preferred track for listening party: baiji
Band Bio: another cultural landslide (ACL) is the instrumentals-only identity of our two band identities (our vocals band is named x$, pronounced ex-bucks) - and another cultural landslide's a name that pretty much describes how we approach music - whatever slides downhill & lands in our laps tends to grab our interest - we mess with it some more and roll it further downhill in your direction. we're all over the place, and that's how we like it.

we refuse to take ourselves too seriously - life's too damned short for that. music should be fun, as well as soul-searching, heartfelt and real. oh, and it should say something, too - even if the music doesn't always use words to do that.

otherwise, we're reluctant to talk about ourselves - we'd rather let our music do the talking.

...so if you've come to this little slot looking for a standard group bio - you've come to the wrong place...

...but if you're here to open your ears - well, we'd like to believe you've come to a pretty good place.

check us out. we're not for everybody; but then again - maybe we are.
Group Members & Instruments Played: wendy. kirk.

instruments played: whatever we could get our hands on, or whatever sounds we could wrap our ears around.

lots of knob twiddling, too.

yup, that's pretty much it.
Band Location (city, state or province, & country): mexico beach, fl
