My goal is to record an album at home using my digital eight track. When I recorded my first full length album four years ago I planned extensively and spent alot of money. Since then I have learned quite about about being a musician and managing my finances. Lately I have been into writing theatrical music....music inspired by circus freaks and cabaret singers. As I will be recording at home, mostly by myself, and mostly on acoustic guitar the album is bound to have a folky raw sound, but I would like to combine that with this new theatrical sound I have been exploring. Overall, I plan on being more experimental with this album and not regarding the entire process as being so precious. Maybe it will be fabulous and maybe it will just be an exercise in production that I will bring to a studio in the future. For now my goal is just to do this.
