The Institute for Psychic Reform as a name has been in use since the early 1990's as an umbrella name for various activities of its Grand Leader Master Poopah Alan Evil. The Institute for Psychic Reform is here to change your mind. We have come to re-arrange your psychic corps of engineers. The truth hurts. The Institute for Psychic Reform consists of its only constant member Alan Evil and anyone else who is available at the moment. Available has become an amazingly variable term these days thanks to computer recording and the internet. I have recorded with Holger Czukay of Can though I've never met him. Hell, I'm on one of his records. I have collaborated with tens of people that I have never met in person and many of these I have no idea what they look like. A friend of mine in Portland Oregon and I have been working on an album together as BiPolar Unit for three years now. Between internet uploads and cds in the mail we have the bones of a really good album together but we have never met and I doubt I would recognize him if we met in person. I'm not sure what this year's album will sound like but I hope it ROCKS!
