Summer of 2007 - Mosfet's production company - Star Stuff Studios, produced the Twilight Outdoor Music Series in Dover NH - 8 weeks, every Thursday, 2 bands and only one indoor rain-out... which was still awesome. Check out the Flyer here I played the 2007 RPM album live to open the series, and then 3 more times at separate parties and events out in Portsmouth and again in Dover!
Come October 2007, I'd peaked out playing out wise, and began noodling with my outboard gear versus my computer-based sequencing step. I decided to break out of the comfort zone and work out the kinks of playing live with just my sequencer/controller keyboard, and two external sound sources.
The result was after 4 months of finesse.. I have a 45 minute set I call "Birds of Prey" named after the 1973 helicopter chase movie which I use for the video backdrop of my set.
I do two cover songs, three songs off the 07 RPM album, and 4 new originals. It's sweet!
The best part is that I landed two gigs this week - Jan 29th at the Red Door, I opened for Eat Cloud and a DJ from Boston, MA - Mistaker and Mistaker called me Wed the 30th to see if I could play at the MIT Museum for a party on the 31st. I of course said yes and played MODULATIONS - a Yelp.com Bash for it's Boston area Yelper community. 400 plus very with-it folks poured into and absorbed the sights and sounds of yours truly with the compay of Soul Clap and SoSoLimited - AMAZING STUFF. So diving home from said show it turned Feb 1 2008 - and since that time I've been concocting a plan, listening to old Orbital, Single Cell Orchestra, Autechre and the like... planning.. LET IT BEGIN! Listen to my RPM Album from 2007 and watch awesome videos at StarStuffStudios.com Listen to my RPM Album from 2006 in the Jukebox!!
