dreams and poetry written down on scraps of paper and napkins or just half remembered or stream of consciousness flow are the basis for lyrics or spoken words in this project. We're moving away from the pop song format that we use all the time or just seriously disassembling it. By leaving the comfort zone of what we're used to and seeing what comes up, we're exploring creativity and method without regard to inspiration. By using unfamiliar techniques, improvisation and even instruments we don't normally play or have any technique on we will see where it takes us. It is a process that is fast and rough like building a shelter as opposed to building a more permanent house with plans ,design elements,plumbing and interior design and furnishings. It may be striclty functional and rough but can come closer to the raw material of creativity. |
