My goal, as it always is, is to write simple honest songs that help me, and hopefully my listeners, to look at and understand some of the twisty tangly things we feel, and to make them sit right in a song. I know, because it's always this way, that there will be days when I think I'm a terrible writer and will gnash my teeth over what a stupid idea this is, but I also know that there will be those fluid clear moments when something good is happening - we're all hoping for more of the latter. |
