I currently live outside Washington, DC, where my "studio" consists of a MacBook and a M-Audio MobilePre USB box in my bedroom. For the new album, I've focused the majority of songs on faith and the ways in which we express it, whether through prayer, money, or convenience. I'm also fascinated with a megalomaniacal character on a couple songs, chronicling a rise to power and then the ultimate "Let God sort them out" once the power is in place.
I started playing guitar at 13 after starting out on the drums. I spent high school trolling between bands in the New Jersey hardcore scene, such as Tonsul, ...so help me God, and the Kill Kids Collective. I had to leave the drums behind in college, and started to focus on singing and songwriting, ultimately resulting in Everyone Calls Me Chris.
Current instrumentation:

Takamine Acoustic Steel String Guitar
Ibanez 5 String bass (that has been through more New Jersey hardcore shows than it would care to remember)
