Hello, I am Reuben Bondek. I do not like to think of myself as a songwriter, composer, or even a musician. I am a channeller. The harmony of dissonance is all. I do not tune my instruments. I do not adhere to conventional song structures. I have a relationship with melody and rhythm which is in constant flux. For this challenge, i can afford to isolate myself from the outside for the full 28 days, as I am unemployed. I plan to explore my free-form improvisory approach to an even greater extent than I have previously - every track recorded will be one take, and entirely spontaneous. An outpour. An uncorking of the musical dam. A spiritual conduit. One massive, unanimous note. |
