The concept behind my 2008 RPM album is a series of "slice of life" vignettes describing various people, places, and events mainly from the perspective of an unreliable and jaded observer. Stylistically, the most striking feature might be the short song lengths, hopefully no more than two minutes a song. The songs themselves will be very aggressively poppy, often featuring complex or unusual chord progressions. I'm aiming for the 35 minute mark, since I feel the 10 song barrier will be too easy to reach for this kind of album. But, since I'm also attempting another very different album for the FAWN.org challenge, we'll see how much I can actually get done. Stay tuned...
